Modules
Interactive Learning Skills and Communication
You will develop the academic and communication skills needed for success in Higher Education. You will gain independent learning skills and learn to take responsibility for your personal, academic and professional development. You will also learn how to use a range of digital technologies.
Computing Skills
You will learn how to describe computer systems and develop software in a high-level language. You will also learn the skills needed to design, develop and evaluate solutions to problems.
Problem Solving & Modelling
During this module, you will learn about the problems that arise in computing situations and the practical skills needed for an efficient solution.
Computing Information Systems
This module provides a general introduction to information systems, including information architecture and the development of web-based information systems. You will gain practical knowledge of the information system development process and its associated techniques and technologies.
Computer Systems & Networking
You will develop your understanding of the functionality and organisation of the main components in computer systems and networks.
Object Orientated Programming
This module will introduce you to the principles of object-oriented programming, including the modelling, design, implementation and testing of such programs.
Requirements
In addition to meeting the minimum ICRGU Academic Entry Requirements, students applying for the Computing programmes are required to hold a high school qualification in Maths.
